There is a reception area, with parking for coaches behind the Truffle Museum, a camping-car service area by the RN 21 at the southern side of Sorges at Grangearias and free car parking in the village. |

Visit the Truffle Museum and its footpath to discover the truffle groves and learn all about the black diamond of gastronomy. The visit lasts one hour at the Truffle Museum with a slide show, followed by a pleasant two-hour walk round the truffle grove footpath. Courses are available on truffles and the art of truffle growing. Open every day except Monday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon, and fromb 2 - 5 p.m. In July and August open every day from 9.30 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. and from 2.30 - 6.30 p.m. Visits are free for 10 years old and younger, 10 F for 11 – 16 years old and 20 F for 17 and over. Château de Jaillac, dry stone huts (bories), old villages, Sorges church (XII – XIII century). Courses in dry stone construction In early October we shall have the pleasure of showing you how to work with dry stone, from the choice of materials through to its actual use on site. This course will be run by an architect and a professional stone worker. Stone working is a traditional profession in our limestone area, the presence of which led to the dry stone huts being built. For information and enrolment contact the Tourist Office.
All necessary shops and services are at your disposal in the village (grocery, post office, baker, butcher, doctors and chemist,..)

The Tourist Office can provide you with information and documents about furnished rentals, Sorges village and the Dordogne. Leaflets, tourist maps, books about the area and local produce are available. The Tourist Office is open in the Truffle Museum every day except Monday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon and from 2 – 5 p.m. In July and August open every day from 9.30 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. and from 2.30 – 6.30 p.m. |
